London, July 9th (The Energy Circle) - 88 Energy announced the start of its 2D seismic survey of the PEL 93 exploration block in the Namibian Owambo Basin. The announcement provides an update on practical steps implemented since a preliminary plan was revealed in May, further teasing confidence in the basin’s exploration potential. The initial campaign targets an onshore area covering 18,500 km².

The seismic survey will begin in June and collect around 200 km of 2D seismic lines. Survey completion is targeted for the third quarter of 204 with the collected data expected to be processed in the fourth quarter.

88 Energy will merge the new data with existing exploration information to refine identification of prospective sites within the block. The enhanced data interpretation will help evaluate resource sizes and identify new drilling locations.

Currently, 88 Energy holds a 20% interest in PEL 93. The success of the ongoing operations could more than double this stake, thereby greatly expanding the company's presence in the region.
