London, July 12th (The Energy Circle) - Australian energy giant Woodside has entered into a wide-ranging sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Taiwanese state-owned CPC Corporation to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Taiwan. Under the terms of the SPA, Woodside will deliver approximately 6 million tonnes of LNG over ten years starting this month. The LNG will be sourced from Woodside's global portfolio.

The agreement includes a provision for an additional 8.4 million tonnes of LNG to be delivered to CPC over a further ten-year period, potentially extending the contract until 2043, subject to conditions and mutual agreement on terms.

Woodside CEO, Meg O’Neill, celebrated the agreement as a milestone for Woodside and further testament to the steady demand for Australian LNG in Asian markets. O'Neill commented that the agreement is recognition of Woodside’s reputation for delivering a safe and reliable energy supply well into the 2030s.
